Job Summary:

As the BIM Manager/Coordinator for Electrical Systems, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the design and construction of electrical systems within commercial building projects in every market sector. You will be part of a team leading and coordinating the BIM processes, ensuring accurate and efficient integration of BIM technology into the electrical systems’ design and implementation. About This Job:

BIM Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in the implementation of BIM technology within the electrical systems department, ensuring its alignment with project goals.

Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain BIM models for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Model Development: Create, modify, and manage 3D electrical models using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) to facilitate clash detection, quantity take-offs, and design optimization.

Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, protocols, and best practices for BIM in electrical systems design and documentation.

Quality Assurance: Review BIM models and drawings for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications, and make necessary corrections or improvements.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on BIM software, standards, and workflows, fostering a culture of BIM proficiency.

Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between electrical systems teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and improve overall project efficiency.

Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging BIM technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance processes and outcomes.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of BIM models, revisions, and project documentation, ensuring accessibility and version control.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in BIM coordination or management. Experience on electrical systems within the construction industry a plus.
• Proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, BIM360.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary (AE) team environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical system design is a plus.
