Civil Engineer | Site Development & Design-Build

Now hiring a Civil Engineer to do more than produce drawings for one small piece of a project. This is an opportunity to join a design-build organization and take ownership of civil/site engineering for specialized projects and see your work progress from early site planning through construction.

This role will design and build facilities throughout the U.S. The Civil Engineer joining the team will play an important role in that transition while working alongside structural engineers, designers, project managers and construction professionals.

What You’ll Work On:

Your work will focus primarily on the civil and site-development components of projects, including:

  • Site planning and civil/site design for new facilities and expansions
  • Site layouts, grading and earthwork
  • Stormwater management and drainage design
  • Site utilities and infrastructure coordination
  • Civil construction documents and plan development
  • Surveying and existing-condition coordination
  • Geotechnical investigation and consultant coordination
  • Permitting and regulatory requirements
  • Civil 3D design and documentation
  • Coordination with structural and construction teams
  • Review of civil plans, calculations and technical documentation
  • Support during permitting and construction

Because this is a design-build environment, you’ll remain connected to projects beyond the design phase and see how engineering decisions perform in the field.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re interested in civil engineers with experience in areas such as:

  • Civil/site engineering or land development
  • Site planning, grading and drainage
  • Stormwater management
  • Site utilities and infrastructure
  • Permitting and agency coordination
  • Survey and geotechnical coordination
  • Civil 3D
  • Development of civil construction documents
  • Coordination across multiple engineering disciplines

A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, particularly for more experienced candidates, but engineers at different stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.

Experience with industrial, manufacturing or design-build projects is helpful, but it isn’t required. Engineers coming from commercial, municipal, institutional, residential, mixed-use or other land-development environments may have highly transferable experience.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position may be particularly appealing if you enjoy civil engineering but want greater ownership of your projects, closer interaction with construction teams and more variety than a traditional consulting environment can provide.

You’ll join a mature engineering organization, work on projects throughout the U.S., and have an opportunity to help shape a growing civil engineering function.

If your background is in land development or site engineering and you’re interested in applying those skills to a different type of project, we’d like to hear from you.
