Production Manager – Custom Fabrication
Do you have manufacturing experience with custom products, and are ready to move up?
If you are a manufacturing production foreman, supervisor, or production manager – please read on!
This is a brand-new opportunity for a Production Manager to lead the manufacturing of custom architectural products, including decorative ceiling systems, acoustic panels, and specialty interior features.
Unlike high-volume manufacturing, this environment involves specialized materials, unique designs, and custom fabrication processes that require craftsmanship and precision.
This position is an excellent next step for someone with a few years of fabrication experience, a shop supervisor, or a manufacturing leader who enjoys the shop floor and team management sides of production.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Daily Production: Oversee manufacturing activities, coordinate schedules, assign work, and keep projects moving efficiently
- Guide Custom Fabrication: Learn the company’s products and manufacturing methods and provide technical direction and troubleshoot production challenges
- Train and Develop Employees: Demonstrate fabrication techniques, equipment operation, assembly procedures, and quality expectations to a changing production workforce
- Lead Team Performance: Provide coaching, establish expectations, address performance concerns, and promote accountability throughout the production team
Requirements:
We’re especially interested in professionals who understand custom fabrication. Experience in any of the following areas would be great:
- Approximately 2 or more years in custom fabrication or a closely related manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with CNC equipment, routers, cutting systems, laminators, or industrial assembly processes
- Knowledge of adhesives, bonding methods, material preparation, and precision assembly
- Ability to interpret fabrication requirements, solve production problems, and maintain consistent quality
Additional experience that would translate well includes:
- Architectural millwork, cabinetry, or custom woodworking
- Commercial fixtures, retail displays, or exhibit fabrication
- Architectural panels, acoustic products, signage, or specialty interior products
- Custom manufacturing involving wood, laminates, plastics, foam, felt, or composite materials
- Shop supervision, production coordination, employee training, or manufacturing team leadership
You don’t need to have previous experience as a Production Manager. A fabrication professional or shop supervisor with the ability to lead and train others would make a great fit!
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Outstanding salary with room for growth – $60,000 – $80,000
- 401(k): Retirement savings plan
- Health Insurance: Employer-provided health insurance
- Paid Time Off: PTO benefits
- Custom Architectural Products: Work on specialized fabrication projects rather than high-volume manufacturing
- Career Advancement: Apply your fabrication expertise while advancing into a Production Manager role
- Work Environment: Full-time, onsite manufacturing leadership position
