Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead projects through all phases: Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
- Establish and manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Ensure alignment with client goals, code requirements, and quality standards
Client Management
- Serve as the primary client contact, building relationships
- Lead meetings, presentations, and coordination
- Manage expectations, risks, and project outcomes
Team Coordination
- Direct and coordinate internal staff and external consultants
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress, quality, and deadlines
- Foster collaboration across disciplines
Technical Oversight
- Ensure design and documentation meet building codes, regulations, and constructability standards
- Oversee quality control and coordinate document reviews
- Support problem-solving during design and construction
Requirements:
- Licensed Architect (AIA)
- 8+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in project delivery
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and consulting teams
- Understanding of building systems, codes, and construction processes
- Communication, leadership, and client management skills
- Ability to balance design vision with technical execution
- Able to lead both clients and internal teams
- Desire to mentor junior designers
